Black Plague PDR – Super Straight Tabs
Super Straight Tabs are round tabs by design, but they don't pull like traditional round tabs. The difference is hidden in the geometry.
At the core is a self centering wedge that is machined into the puller that perfectly centers the tab when force is applied. The wedge naturally centers itself, keeping the force aligned instead of allowing the tab to torque or walk. That means your pull stays honest—even when your hand isn't perfectly straight (because none of ours are).
These tabs are also intentionally taller than standard round tabs. That height isn't cosmetic. It creates a controlled flex zone above the glue line. The top of the tab can move and absorb the small inconsistencies that come from human pulling—angle changes, uneven load, micro side forces—while the base stays planted.
Why Thin Face Green?
The green thin face design gives up ultimate pulling power in favor of precision and control. The thinner face material allows the tab to flex and concentrate the pulling force to the center of the tab—and only there. This gets the bottom of the dent moving without excess pulling power that would require more work to flatten.
You really only want a pull that is strong enough to get the metal moving up, not MORE than that. Too much pulling power creates more work knocking the metal back down to flat. The thin face design prevents over-pulling by design.
